NO MOM! I don't want to wear that - I'll look like a hooker!
Mom: no you won't - I wear clothes like that all the time!
Tweenage girl: I know - you look like a fat hooker!
I really wish they would sell mixed drinks at wally world - it would make the whole floor show there so much more enjoyable.

There was a time .... or so Jan says ... when teenagers didn't talk to mothers like that. And mothers didn't suggest clothing to elicit such a response. sigh

You know, sometimes I think that, if you compiled a book of things you've actually overheard, people would think you made up it (or at least heavily embellished). Sooo sad, on so many levels.
I usually need an adult beverage after I've been to Walmart. At least that kid knew what was decent!
If the beer that I had bought *before* going to Wally_world had been cold....I just might have shotgunned it in the car!! (Due to a 10 month old into EVERYTHING and rude people).
